Dumpling, or knedli, is a European flour product, consisting, as a rule, of flour and eggs. Usually added to the soup, but can be served as a separate second dish.





Traditionally in Poland, cooking potato-dumpThis is a holiday when the whole family gathers.

They are served with stewed red cabbage and the famous veal rolls. In the dumplings in Polish, there must be depressions. Such dumplings look original and better hold the sauce or gravy.

Potato dumplings Kletsky very well suited to stewed meat and vegetables. Unlike the usual mashed potatoes, they will make your dinner unusual and bring a pleasant variety to the diet.

The ingredients
  • 600g potatoes
  • starch
  • 1–2 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper


Preparation
  1. Cut the potatoes with a fork or potato.


  2. Stir the puree with the butter. Put the resulting mass on a flat plate.


  3. Divide the mass into four equal parts. One of them was removed and in its place a mound of starch was poured. This way you will get the perfect ratio.


  4. Put back the deposited part of the mashed potatoes, add the egg and mix the dough thoroughly.
  5. Tasty with salt and pepper.
  6. Form small balls, each ball is easy to take and make a small depression in the middle.


  7. Cook in salted boiling water before surfacing. Bon appetit!




Serve with butter, squarks, fried smoked meat or fried onions. Potato dumplings in Polish delicious on their own, and with the addition of mushroom or garlic sauce - this is something extraordinary!
