How to compensate for the lack of vitamins in the body

Do you know the feeling when you do not want to do anything, there is no strength and overcomes sudden laziness? Most often, this state of health is in the afternoon, and by the evening, when it begins to darken, it is the opposite - a surge of energy, the desire to do something. It's vitamin deficiency Or symptoms of disease?

How do you know if you have a vitamin deficiency and which ones to take? To understand this issue will help Pavel Valerievich Evdokimenko - practicing rheumatologist, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences.

Lack of vitamins in the body “Obviously, to learn about vitamin deficiency, you need to take blood for analysis. This study is now being done in some laboratories, but the cost of such testing for all groups of vitamins reaches the cost of an iPhone, explains Pavel Valerievich.

In addition, the analysis does not guarantee accuracy: routine blood sampling from a finger (clinical analysis) is often done with errors, and in different laboratories the indicators may differ. Therefore, it must be understood that vitamin-test much more complicated.

Not every city or town has a laboratory that does blood tests for vitamins. Dr. Evdokimenko claims that according to some signs, it is possible to independently determine, What vitamins are lacking in the body.

There are several categories of people who often lack B vitamins.

Categories of people exposed to hypovitaminosis
  1. Vegetarians
  2. People who drink alcohol
  3. Older people
  4. Those who are in prolonged nervous tension
  5. Those engaged in heavy physical and intellectual work
  6. Those who eat monotonously, for example, all day eating noodles or potatoes
  7. Diabetics who have long taken diabetes drugs

If you generalize, it turns out that the lack of vitamins is subject to most people. The shortage can be identified by many signs.

Signs of Vitamin Deficiency
  1. Pay attention to the tongue: if it is all red or crimson - this indicates a lack of vitamin B1.
  2. If the tongue looks smooth, like polished, it feels burning or tingling, then the reason is a lack of vitamin B12. This is also evidenced by tingling, weakness, a feeling of "goosebumps" in the legs.
  3. Seizures in the legs, the appearance of seborrhea, cracks and jarring in the corners of the mouth indicate a deficiency of vitamins B2 and B6.
  4. Burning in the feet suggests that you need to replenish the reserves of vitamin B3.
  5. Bleeding gums when biting off solid food, brushing teeth, exposing the roots of teeth - lack of vitamins C and R.

There is a specific visionThe so-called "chicken blindness", when a person sees perfectly in good light, and at dusk visual acuity decreases and blurredness appears. There is a clouding of the conjunctiva of the eyes, peeling of the skin (can occur with an excess of vitamin A).

  9. Decreased hemoglobin (anemia), a violation of intestinal absorption (diarrhea, bubbling in the abdomen) occurs with a deficiency of B12 and folic acid. You need to be careful when taking folic acid in excess doses. It is not recommended to take it simply because it has become fashionable. This reduces antiviral and anti-cancer immunity.
  10. Dryness and fragility of the nails can indicate a lack of vitamins A and D. Decreased sexual interest and infertility are associated with vitamin E deficiency.

It is worth paying attention to non-specific signs of a lack of B vitamins: weakness, irritability, temper, fatigue. They can also be symptoms of stress, fatigue, lack of sleep.

“I remember one case., the doctor says. I was brought to a patient who had an increased temper, and was already talking about a mental illness. And upon examination it turned out that the person banally lacks in the blood vitamins of group B. After I prescribed treatment with drugs of these vitamins, temperance went away in a matter of days.

I want to emphasize: before you send a person to a psychiatric hospital, convince him to drink vitamins, or even better, stab him.

If the fact of vitamin deficiency has already been determined, then an obvious question arises: What vitamins should be taken? Prepared synthetic or better to lean on healthy food?

Most modern vitamins are obtained from natural products, and their chemical formula is no different. But if a person is allergic to vitamins in tablets, it is best to get B vitamins from bran, beer yeast and perga (flower pollen).

Many fear that vitamins You can’t take them all together because they don’t fit together. That's not exactly true. Our body is used to absorb them simultaneously from natural sources. But ideally, it is better to take separately water-soluble B vitamins from fat-soluble ones such as A, D, E.

From the point of view of experts, the course of taking vitamin complexes should not exceed 1-2 months with a break of 3-6 months. It is advisable to do this seasonally. In early autumn, when we ate natural vitamins from vegetables and fruits, additionally drink vitamins in tablets is not necessary. But at the end of winter and early spring, when our body clearly does not receive vitamins, you need to start a course of taking multivitamins.

Regarding omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, Dr. Evdokimenko’s opinion is ambiguous: On the one hand, these substances are certainly useful. But you need to understand that around omega-3 and omega-6 formed excessive excitement. When in advertising they say that these fatty acids can cure literally all diseases - this is an exaggeration.

They are prescribed strictly for medical reasons, for example, to improve the brain and cardiovascular system, to reduce cholesterol in the blood. Omega-3s and omega-6s help fight stress and depression. For therapeutic purposes, they should be taken in a course of one to two months, in no case exceeding the dosage. A side effect of overdose is digestive disorder.”

The doctor does not recommend consuming fish oil and flax oil from bottles, as omega-3 is very quickly oxidized upon contact with air. It is better to take these substances in capsules.

And finally, a message from the advanced Pavel Valerievich: Dear friends! I emphasize: Yes, vitamins are useful and necessary for our body. But they should be taken in moderate doses and for a certain amount of time. Don't get too carried away!

Earlier, we wrote that any changes in the skin are a signal of failures in the body due to the lack of vitamins. Many disadvantages can be corrected with proper nutrition. We wish you good health and love for yourself!
