How to prepare a nut pie for the holiday

December is already knocking on the door with increased wind and frost. Store shelves are filled with Christmas toys, jewelry and gift sets, and in fruit shops you can finally find more than 2 types of tangerines. But despite all this, the New Year mood has not covered all.

Which means it's time for nut pie!

Of course, the recipe has already been prepared. It remains only to buy the necessary ingredients and start cooking.

Walnut pie Ingredients
  • 180g flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 150g almonds
  • 150g walnuts
  • 130g dried fig
  • 1 tbsp dried barberry berries
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp dried ginger
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • salt
  • 30g butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp water


Preparation
  1. Take a dry pan and pour all the nuts on it. Turn on the medium fire and roast the nut mixture for 5 minutes. Then peel the nuts off the peel and cut.



  2. Then proceed to the preparation of the test. Take a deep bowl and mix in it the dry components: flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, as well as all the spices.



  3. Then add a nut crumb to the bowl along with dried fruits and mix all the ingredients together.



  4. Melt the honey and pour hot into the dry mixture. Add also 1 tbsp of water and stir everything until you get a homogeneous crumb.



  5. Next, lubricate the form for baking with butter and tightly stamp the resulting crumb into it. It is best for baking products to take a silicone shape size of 18-22 centimeters.



  6. Heat the oven to 160 degrees, place the mold in it and bake the cake for 40 minutes.





Delivery nutcake from the oven, leave it to stand in shape for a few minutes, then move to the grille and cool completely. You can immediately serve the cake to the table or wrap it in parchment paper and put it in the refrigerator until the right time.





By the way, for some reason many bake plaincake 2-3 weeks before the holiday. The thing is that with prolonged storage, the cake, filled with dried fruits and various spices, becomes softer and more aromatic, and therefore even tastier than on the first day of its preparation. So be brave to use this trick.

However, do not decorate the cupcake if you plan to leave it in the refrigerator for a long time, otherwise you risk at the most important moment to get out of the refrigerator product covered with mold.
