How to strengthen the neck muscles at home

If you work a lot at the computer, with papers or just have a bad habit of constantly looking at the phone, your neck inevitably suffers. We put a lot of stress on such a fragile part of our body every day, but we do not try to help it. And it doesn't take much. Alexander Drozhennikov assures that two exercises will be enough.





So, first exercise. Stand up straight, relax and lower your shoulders. Now lower your chin on your chest, rounding the back of your neck. Take your shoulders back carefully, opening your chest. The blades must be connected. You'll feel the tension, it's normal. Now bend your hands at your elbows, press the back of your palms against your shoulders.





Now try to press your elbows to your body as much as possible. Hold in this position for a few seconds, feeling the tension of the muscles. However, do not do anything through force, it is better to start small. Repeat this exercise 5-10 times. Increase the number of repetitions every day.





Thanks to this exercise, you can get rid of acute pain and stiffness in the neck. It also helps to return the vertebrae to place and generally relax the muscles. If you perform the exercise regularly, you can get rid of chronic pain and strengthen the muscles. Do it regularly in the morning and evening and forget about the pain.





In the second exercise, you need to repeat everything you did in the first, only to throw your head back at the end. So, put your chin on your chest, head back, round your neck. Take your shoulder blades, put your hands in your elbows, put them on your shoulders and press them against your body. In this position, gently throw your head back as much as possible.





This way you can create additional tension in the muscles and work them out even better. Also do 5-10 repetitions. Even if you feel a little pain, keep doing the exercise, only slowly and carefully.
