Luxury Vera from Berdichev believes that a woman with a smile never gets old
“The soul does not age!” – a resident of a small Ukrainian town Vera Polishchuk. In Berdichev, everyone knows it without exaggeration. And this is not surprising, because it is simply impossible not to notice such a radiant and cheerful woman.
Every day, Pani Vira dresses up in extravagant robes and does original makeup. In her 70s, the pensioner is challenging ageism and other stereotypes imposed by society. Today we want to tell you more about this amazing man. And, of course, share with you her bright photos.
Ivanka Lischuk is the author of a beautiful photo project dedicated to Vera Polishchuk. In her Instagram account, she calls herself a photo therapist. And to be honest, I can’t describe her work more accurately. After all, looking at the pictures created by Ivanka, you seem to heal your soul.

The idea to capture the bright resident of Berdichev appeared in Ivanka in March 2020. Suddenly, the quarantine was the starting point for a truly grandiose project. I returned to the Berdichev atmosphere, in which I had not lived for almost 2 years. The places and people were still the same, only the ideas became much bolder, the photographer shares with his followers.
When Ivanka met Vera and invited her to a photo shoot, she happily agreed. In the early morning of the next day, their first filming took place, which marked the beginning of a strong friendship.
Every meeting with Vera was filled with warmth and joy. It wasn't without heartfelt conversations. Ivanka says that these unusual photo walks became a kind of ritual. Perhaps that is why all the photos of the photographer are so light and lamp.
Vera from Berdichev Vera Polishchuk works as a nurse. She wakes up very early to clean herself up and go to the woman she's looking after. Every day is a celebration of faith. The pensioner creates it herself, thinking through her new image to the smallest detail.
It harmoniously combines colorful outfits, accessories, makeup and, of course, hairstyle. The main rule of faith: no black color. For her, bright clothes are a way of life and a way of expression. This helps her feel even more energetic.
Vera not only buys things in the bazaar, but also sews them to order. In the local atelier, its taste is called peculiar, but this is its highlight. Residents of the city note the love of life of a woman: “Beside her, you seem to become younger yourself.”
A bright pensioner dreams of having less grayness around. Every day she adds bright colors to her life, becoming an example for everyone around her. “A woman is a holiday, and age is a state of mind,” Vera said. She doesn’t like to talk about numbers because they don’t really mean anything.
When the soul does not age, it does not matter how old a person is. Inside the beautiful Vera lives a little cheerful girl. It radiates goodness and positivity, which, unfortunately, many people now lack.
