The old woman got a job washing the floors in the office, because the pension was meager, but suddenly the director took her mop.

Looking at her friends, Vera was afraid that she would soon find herself in a rocking chair with yarn in her hands. But she wasn't the kind of person who just burns life out of idleness. Especially since she has a son and a small grandson. She always tried to help the young family, every year on vacation she went to the dacha, in the summer did conservation, so that there was something to eat in the winter. Suddenly, the husband said that he would sleep in the hay as before: “Let’s remember youth, as in the old days.” Vera at first was against it, but the haywood and the truth was once good, with this place she has pleasant memories. After the night in the hay, the couple as if rallied even more, and no longer argued about anything. Alexander silently helped Vera, but she did not reproach him with anything.

It is not clear why Vera disliked her daughter-in-law. Perhaps she thought Ivan Olya was not suitable at all. When the son came the next day to visit his parents, Vera exclaimed: “Why didn’t you bring my grandson?” It is good that he did not take his wife, Vera said sarcastically.

The son frowned, it was unpleasant for him that his wife and mother did not get along. But he himself looks exhausted work, and Vera blamed her daughter-in-law for this. Of course, mom always wants her son to be happy, but it seems that everything was not smooth in his family. When his parents and son sat down for dinner after a hard day, Ivan said he would come next weekend with his son and wife. Vera was not happy with this news, but she will see her grandson.



A couple of days later, the son called and anxiously asked to give him the keys to the city apartment, it seemed that he was in a hurry. Ivan said he had to pick up some documents. Mom immediately suspected something was wrong, and said that she would come and help find the papers. When she met her son, he was upset, the documents were found, but Vera could not help asking what was going on.

"I'm getting divorced, mom," Ivan said. Vera, for some reason, immediately felt guilty. She constantly threw studs in the direction of her daughter-in-law, but she did not want to destroy her son’s family. She immediately asked Ivan to help in the country, because the father can not cope. The son agreed and said he would come over the weekend as agreed.

Vera knew that Ivan would come without his wife, but she had to reconcile them. Faith, as a wise woman, understood that it is very simple to destroy a family through stupidity. Only a persistent desire to work on the relationship can save the family, because they have a small son. How will he live with only one of his parents? He loves both mom and dad.

It was really nice here. Nature heals the mind and calms the soul. Alexander agreed with his wife: “If you want to, go.”



After Vera got a job as a cleaner, she had something to share with her husband. The gossip of Vera amused Alexander, the couple became even closer to each other. And now there is an opportunity to save money.

Since Vera was a curious woman, she could not miss the conversations of the office staff. And last week, the unthinkable happened. She saw colleagues at work arguing, they were already waving their fists in front of each other. Vera decided to separate the two young guys. While she was reconciling them, the head of the firm approached.

Before Vera stood a man, she knew him as a little boy. This is the boy she took out of a burning building 20 years ago. Vera cried. The boss, realizing who was in front of him, fell to his knees and began to cry. He could not believe that the savior was so forced to face her old age. He had the power to change everything. The boss arranged Vera for the post of head farm, so that Vera now had a higher salary and did not waste energy on cleaning: “It happens,” Alexander was surprised by such a story.



People began to divorce for trivial reasons. Some do not spend a month in marriage, others ruin a family with young children because of different worldviews. Everyone has the right to their personal space, but love is the feeling that makes us not only take pleasant emotions from a relationship, but also teaches us to give something in return. Sometimes it's patience, understanding, sometimes compromise.

And the case of the boss only proves that nothing in our lives passes without a trace. Retirement was a good decision for Vera. Good deeds sooner or later come back good, not always good repay those whom we once helped. But good will always find a way to come back.
