Russia's top talents

The site presents its second award rating of Russian creatives. For the first time in the history of Russian advertising, this was done almost a year ago. In 2010, the Site took the liberty of compiling its own agency award rating. And the award rating of copywriters and art directors is already based on research conducted by our editorial staff. We took into account 14 festivals that took place in the period from Golden Drama to Golden Drama, our score system (see below), as well as only the first of the four tables of the rating of agencies, which included creative agencies and full-cycle agencies. Representatives of interactive agencies and design studios are not included in this list - a separate study will probably be done for them. Creatives, designers and webbers do too different jobs to be compared.
Leo Burnett Moscow is expected to be in first place with 21 talents. BBDO Moscow has 15, Saatchi & Saatchi Russia has 11 and Instinct has 8. The first place with more than an impressive margin was taken by copywriters of RA “Sunrise” Evgeny Primachenko and Alexander Parkhomenko, who invented absolutely all the award-winning works of the agency. In second place is the art director of RA “Sunrise” Vladislav Derevyannykh, for whom radio videos did not participate in the calculations.

The rating, with few exceptions, included only art directors and copywriters. First, we evaluate the awardability of the embodied idea, and therefore its authors. Second, it’s hard to imagine the amount of confusion that’s bound to happen if you include everyone who worked on the project. Exceptions to this rule were only two employees of RIA “Vladimir-Region” – sound director of all radio videos, with which this agency has won at all Russian festivals for many years, as an “audio-art director”, as well as one of the designers, since the concept of an art director in the agency is absent in principle, and his roles are performed by a creative director and designers.
Creative directors of agencies were included only if they acted as a copywriter or art director on a particular project.
This year’s rating is very impressive. Despite the fact that the Site decided to take 10 points for the “entry quota” instead of 5, as it was last year, the rating included 82 people who made up the Tor-37 most awarded creatives in Russia: 38 copywriters and 42 art directors from 16 agencies. Employees of the creative agency fastway! Ideas That Rock was not included in the list, since almost all the awards for 2009-2010 were received by them for purely design projects that were not included in the rating of awarding creatives.
And a few more explanations:
- The rating does not claim absolute objectivity. It's pure mathematics. Therefore, for example, it is not surprising that Andrei Sergeev, a junior from Leo Burnett, took fourth place, but it is worth appreciating the fact that he worked on three highly appreciated projects of the agency.
- We do not exclude the possibility that some of the works taken into account in the rating are fake or semi-fake. However, we cannot prove this at the moment and therefore leave it on the conscience of the creators.
- The agency next to the name of the creative artist is not the one in which he works on November 2, 2010, but the one in which he was listed at the time of creation of the work, which subsequently received the award. And from this point of view, the fifth place is interesting for Pavel Ganin, who was awarded both for works made at Saatchi & Saatchi and for works from BBDO Moscow.
