The recipe for a simple Indian delicacy “Shakkar Para”

Indian flour They are incredibly easy to prepare, and their ingredients include a little flour, semolina, sugar and coconut shavings. But it's delicious and original. We don't understand how this recipe came to be in India before we did.



They are called “Shakkar Para” and are such sweet crackers of different sizes with a pleasant texture. Coconut gives a nice note, and cardamom is needed for color. Now you can watch TV series at home without going to the store for delicious things. Cook yourself and have fun.

Flour sweets Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 0.25 st. manki
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp. water (warm 0.5 tbsp. for dough, 0.5 tbsp. in syrup)
  • 0.75 tables of sugar
  • 3 tbsp coconut shavings
  • 0.5 tsp cardamom
  • vegetable-oil


Preparation
  1. Prepare the dough Mix the flour, manca and vegetable oil. Then gradually pour 0.5 tbsp. warm water and mix dough.




  2. Place the finished dough in film and leave to rest for about half an hour.


  3. Now divide the dough into 2 halves. Throw each one thinly, fork holes and cut with a knife into small squares.


  4. Heat a large amount of oil in a deep pan or pan. Throw squares of dough into the oil and fry them on a medium heat to a golden brown crust. Ready crackers take out and put on a paper towel, so that excess oil is absorbed into it.


  5. Make syrup Mix sugar and half a glass of water in a small pan. Bring to a boil and volumes on low heat until the syrup is boiled in half.




  6. Turn off the fire and fall asleep in cardamom syrup and coconut shavings. Stir it. Pour crackers into a pot of syrup so they can be covered evenly. Then put the crackers on a flat surface, let them dry. All right, Indian sweets are ready!




If cardamom and coconut shavings are not on hand, you can always find an alternative. For example, it's good. sesame and vanilla. Since dough and syrup are quite easy to prepare, you can experiment and give the dish a bit of novelty using ingredients that you like.



Like all sweet snacks, Indian crackers are quite hearty. 330 kcal per 100 g of product is a fairly large figure. But no doubt, you simply will not be able to eat a lot of crunches: they are sweet, tasty, but very light, and a feeling of satiety will come almost immediately. That is why we advise to share one portion of the treat in a large company, for example, watching an interesting series.
