For example, do conservation or simply freeze beet blanks. And although these methods of storage are quite reliable, yet no workpiece compares with a fresh product.

The most common problem when storing vegetables is rotting. Rot can appear for a variety of reasons. This is most often due to the fact that vegetables are poorly dried before being sent for storage. And if the room in which beets are stored is poorly ventilated or has too high air temperature, this will only aggravate the situation.

In addition, rot can appear even when the beet ripens. If such a vegetable is sent for storage with the rest, infection cannot be avoided.

The approximate drying time is 2-3 days. When the cut from the top is completely dry, you can decompose into boxes and send it to a cool place for storage.

If it is necessary to prepare large stocks of beets, additional measures should be resorted to. Those vegetables that should be stored longer than 3-4 months should be smeared with a pre-prepared clay mixture. It is done very simply: connect half a bucket of clay with water and leave for 7 days. During this time, the clay mass becomes plastic and convenient to use. Next, grind the mass and leave for a couple of days to get excess water.
