Molasses can fight obesity

New experiments on animals show that the antioxidants molasses or molasses feed is able to fight obesity. Supplements with the addition of molasses or feed molasses will be a new approach in the treatment of obesity and weight control, according to nutritionists. Experiments on mice confirmed the effectiveness of the use of molasses in the diet with high fat content.



The rodents were given a very fatty foods, and nutritional supplements with two percent and four percent molasses extract. After 3 months on the diet, mice that received a more concentrated extract, molasses, weighed less and had less body fat. Experiments on volunteers will be held next year. Scientists believe that the molasses is a new way to treat obesity.
