Volvo has long been conducting research in the field of wireless charging of vehicles based on electric motors. For these studies used a Volvo C30 Electric, the company's employees decided not to stop on achieved results in the area of charging.

The plans of the brand in 2015 implement pilot section of the road, which will allow air to plug-in hybrid bus Hyper Bus.
