A woman from Russia gave birth to 69 children - a world record

Fedor Vasilyev 1707-1782 G. R. was a peasant from Shuya, Russia. His first wife, Ms. Vasilyeva set the record for most children birthed by a single woman. She gave birth to 69 children: 16 twins, 7 triplets, and 4 chitinases in the period from 1725 to 1765, a total of 27 births. Moreover, 67 of her children survived during infancy.
Fedor Vasilyev also had 18 children with his second wife. They had 6 twins and 2 triplets. In total he became the father of 87 children. And 82 children survived during infancy.

The first published report on Fyodor Vasilyev published in 1783 in the journal London, where he said that he came from St. Petersburg to relatives in England, and was presented to the Empress.
The same figure was given in 1834 in the book Bashutskiy, Panorama of St. Petersburg.

If you imagine that with the 67 surviving children, each fathered 2 children (a low figure for that time, but we'll be conservative), and each of their children was 2 children and so on, and the range between generations is about 25 years old. Then this couple currently has around 70,000 descendants!
