A hybrid bus. Ukrainian-Russian development

On Russian roads will soon travel electro-Bogdan. Ukrainian buses with electric motor fall on the Russian market this fall. This joint Russian — Ukrainian project was presented in Moscow. For regular passengers on this bus there is nothing surprising, but the drivers will immediately appreciate their advantage. After preliminary tests in the urban cycle showed fuel savings at the level of 35-40 percent.

According to the developers, the hybrid uses from 29 to 33 liters of diesel fuel per 100 km while the machine is the same configuration but without the electrical consume almost half as much fuel. Similar success have both
American and Japanese cars, but their mass is hampered by the high cost — in contrast to domestic developments. Almost all of the components of the traction electric bus developed and manufactured in Russia, with the exception of energy storage, however, and this issue is close to ending. It is expected that the emergence of domestic cumulative installations will reduce the cost of electrical installation 37 000 to 30 000 euros and will reduce the payback period to a year. Itself traction electrical equipment universal and can be adapted to any type dvenadtsatietazhnogo bus CIS countries. It is expected with the 2013-2014 production of approximately 1 000 — 1 500 buses a year.
