Scientists at the University of Cincinnati introduced the Enactive Torch, the device that helps visually impaired people to move around in different conditions.
Looks like a large TV remote and flashlight, the new product uses infrared rays to scan objects in front of her. When the device detects the object, Enactive Torch emits a faint vibration, passing it on a bracelet, which increases as it approaches the obstacle.
Developed by Luis Favela plans to improve the device in future experiments, to make it more compact.
