The American company designed the plant for odor removal wastewater

American company EcoVerde, founded by inventor, by Mexican Humberto Uribe Luis Lobo, announced the development of a new filtration system that removes odor and other pollutants from wastewater through a biological process based on bacteria that feed on hydrogen sulfide.

According to Humberto Lobo, the new technology is more environmentally friendly than those already available on the market today because it does not use any chemicals or consumables, for example, activated carbon.

New installation works as follows. The air extracted from domestic or industrial wastewater and sent to system called bioscrubber EG. To install the humid air is evaporated, and the remaining contaminants (ammonia, mercaptan and hydrogen sulfide), which are the cause of the smell, are sent to the filter with the bacteria, where destroyed.

Bioscrubber EG based on non-degradable filter (patent pending), which provides various kinds of bacteria which are selected depending on applications and types of pollutants. Pollution removal occurs through the natural process of oxidation. Because they are "odorous" substances are food for microorganisms, so the more polluted the air is, the better grow and develop a colony of bacteria

Some autotrophic bacteria, including Theobacilus used in EcoVerde for removal of hydrogen sulfide and methane, and heterotrophic bacteria effectively remove volatile organic compounds (VOCS). The filter is inoculated with a mixture of the desired bacteria within the first three days, then, when passing through the extractor polluted air reaches the filter, the microorganisms begin to grow and multiply.

Despite the fact that the company EcoVerde was formed in the United States, Humberto Lobo intends primarily to arrange delivery of new facilities for air filtration of sewage in Mexico, in a village located near wastewater treatment plants, as well as factories where chemicals are handled, to ensure the security of jobs.
