Electric recumbent GinzVelo

Electric bikes can help you climb the hill, fighting with the wind and come to work in nepotem condition, but they still can't protect in the rain. This is one of the reasons that some people stare dialekticheskij hybrid velomobiles. One of the last of these vehicles was invented by Peter Ginzburg (Ginzburg Peter) of Virginia, calling it GinzVelo.

GinzVelo received in the form of a recumbent tricycle is covered with a smooth fiberglass/foam used as the basic design in most velomobiles. Additional aerodynamic shell protects the rider from the elements, and may also offer some protection in an accident.

As velomobiles, as a rule, much heavier than bicycles, many of them equipped with an electric auxiliary motor. In the case of a 39-pound GinzVelo, 48-volt 20-Ah Li-polymer battery feeds a 500-watt brushless electric motor that is used to increase its own power of rotation of the pedals.

GinzVelo can accelerate up to a maximum of 32 km/h for a range 120-161 km, and in the increase the thrust to reach a top speed of 48 km/h. Some other functions GinzVelo include full front and rear led lighting with turn signals and brake lights, side mirrors, and ventilation system, including the wheel bore and the hole in the back. Fundraising for the launch of limited-edition production GinzVelo via Kickstarter will run until 24 July 2015. Its value is expected to reach $ 6,000 apiece. published
