In France created a trailer for an electric generator

The French company EP Tender developed a two-wheeled trailer with a portable internal combustion engine to recharge an electric vehicle while driving. ICE-generator that runs on gasoline, can be programmed through the mobile app. Electronics monitors the battery charge level and includes their own portable generator if necessary.

As the developers say, a mobile charger on the trailer to avoid long stops for recharging the battery. According to the executive director of EP Tender Jean-Baptiste Segara trailer increases the mileage of any electric vehicle.

"On the road an average electric drives at a speed of one hundred kilometers per hour and about a hundred kilometers away, - says the expert. - Our prototype rides hundred kilometers - and then filled in it gasoline and going on »

.

The owners of electric vehicles can travel short distances on a standard battery, and for longer trips, which in the course of the year may be no more than ten, to rent a two-wheeled trailer on gasoline, explains Jean-Baptiste Segar.

"We will not produce trailers for each electric vehicle - emphasizes the expert. - You can use a trailer for ten or twenty machines »

. As explained in EP Tender, each driver will be able at some point to rent a two-wheeled trailer to increase the autonomy of his car.

"If the trailer needs only a driver for the day, and the engine will run, say, an hour, it would cost 17 euros, - says Jean-Baptiste Segar. - Each additional hour will cost seven euros. For example, in one day and three extra hours of electric driver will pay 38 euros. »

The trailer has a power of 20 kW to 120 centimeters in length and weighs 250 kg. According to the developers, the product is ready for assembly-line production and on the roads of Europe will be in the next three years.
