Sbiten - a useful product




This is one of the oldest Russian drinks. When else in Russia had no idea about the Chinese tea sbiten was universally loved drink.

 - Sbiten (spicy)
Sugar -150 g -150 g of honey, bay leaf -2 pcs., Cloves, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom - 5 g, water -1l. In boiling water to dissolve the honey, sugar, add the bay leaf, spices and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove the fire, and insist 30 minutes. Strain through cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Serve hot.

 - Sbiten from molasses
1 kg white syrup, 200 g of honey, 2 g of cinnamon, clove buds 5, 2 tsp. Ground ginger, 10 peas black pepper, 5 tablespoons. spoons of dry mint, cardamom 6-8 capsules, 3 Stars anise, 5-6 liters of boiling water.

 - Sbiten Suzdal
1 L of water, 150 g sugar, 150 g of honey (spices, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger) - to taste.
In 1 liter of water is dissolved 150 g of sugar and honey, add spices (cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger - to taste). Boil for 10-15 minutes, removing the foam. Let stand 30 minutes, drain, heat and hot drinks.
