Kyocera introduced a smartphone with a screen acting as a solar panel

The Japanese company Kyocera specializes in unusual solutions for smartphones. The new prototype, представленный exhibition Mobile World Congress, can get energy from the sun through the screen, works like a solar panel.
The smartphone uses operating time of Sunpartner called Wysips Crystal. This фотовольтаический transparent screen. It provides the transparency required for use as a screen, while absorbs solar energy and converts it into electricity.
Power Screen is 5 mW / cm 2 sup>, thickness - 0.1 mm. This power may not be enough to fully charge a voracious modern smartphone for daylight. But to extend the work of the smartphone in a place where a lot of sun and little rosettes, is quite real. Some companies have tried to incorporate solar panels to cover smartphones, but it meant that the smartphone would have to charge to keep in an uncomfortable position the screen down.
Previous unusual projects Kyocera smartphone include: protected Kyocera Brigadier , two-screen Kyocera Echo and device with flexible OLED-display (not yet emerged from the prototype stage).
