OJSC "KAMAZ" has developed and produced two famous prototypes of machines that are running the test. As a result of "KAMAZ" was awarded a contract of the Ministry of Defense of Russia to develop the design documentation and manufacturing in 2013, two prototypes of these machines in processed form. These prototypes, manufacturing of finished and presented in the picture. Prototyping KAMAZ-63968 was completed in early 2013, and the prototype of KAMAZ-63969 - probably in June. Prototype KAMAZ-63969 is equipped with a remote-controlled turret machine gun mount development of the Chelyabinsk "Elektromashina."





If the car KAMAZ-63968 is already well known in both of its copies (prototyping and experimental), the prototype of the KAMAZ-63969 was first publicly "marred" during assembly of KAMAZ in the shop only at the beginning of June. It should be noted that, despite its "bronetransporterny" form, KAMAZ-63969 is a "protected vehicle" instead of an armored personnel carrier, and is not intended to transport infantry on the battlefield. The machine, like the other models, developed as part of the ROC "Typhoon", intended primarily for on-road travel, and be held in different configurations with different payloads and cargo transportation.

According to the data of KAMAZ, the results of preliminary tests of prototypes of the whole structure of the secure car "Typhoon-K" has undergone radical revision in part:

 - Reduce the weight and size characteristics;
 - Optimization of the assembly and disassembly of vehicles and maintenance;
 - Improve the security of the vehicle.

At the armored vehicles of the family "Typhoon-K" applied a combined armor, consisting of liner steel substrate and ceramic armor plates on the basis of ceramic elements of production of Novosibirsk HC "NEVZ-Union." Cars family "Typhoon-K" must be protected from undermining mines weighing at least 8 kg of TNT anywhere under the floor and the wheel.



The structure protected the family car "Typhoon" includes:

 - Secure RAMS automobile chassis 4x4 carrying capacity of 3, 0 m from the armored control module;
 - Protected wheeled vehicle frame 6x6 carrying capacity of 4, 0 m (basic pattern of the family) with a control unit and an armored armored functional module, as well as its modification: RAMS protected armored car chassis control module;
 - Secure the vehicle frame 8x8 capacity of 8, 0 m to the control unit and armored armored functional module, as well as its modification: RAMS secure car armored chassis with a triple control module;
 - Secure the frame or cabinet car 4x4 carrying capacity of 2, 0 m to the armored volume bodies;
 - Secure the frame or cabinet car wheel formula 6x6 carrying capacity of 4, 0 m from the armored volume bodies.
