This is really the first real armored car produced by OJSC "KAMAZ". It has ballistic protection for the 6th class, V-shaped bottom hulls to protect against mines and roadside bombs, permanent four-wheel drive 4x4, 100% lock-axle and cross-axle differentials, the central system controlling the pressure in the wheels, the winch and is designed to transport up to 10 ti soldiers with equipment.
History of
Development began in 1997 in the Research and Production Center "special engineering" MSTU. Bauman at the initiative of the Federal Border Service Andrei Nikolayev. The armored car was intended to replace the main transport guards - GAZ-66. But after the 1998 default public funding ceased, and work on the project was delayed. In order to compensate for development costs in the absence of government orders the machine sold civilian companies. Armored cars are used for transportation of explosives, money and valuable cargo. After receiving in 2005 an export permit several cars were sold the Interior Ministry of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. "Shot" is going to plant JSC "Remdizel" in Naberezhnye Chelny. Protection and weapons
