How Thai wives work and why most of them do not know how to cook

Thailand continues to be a desirable destination for travel and emigration. It is hard to imagine how many people are moving to this country today. If you are thinking about it, you need to understand what awaits you in Thailand. How to live smiling Thais, read further in the article.

Thailand is always warm, there is delicious food and radiant people. What else does it take to be happy? It seems that there can be no disadvantages in such a country. But everything is learned by comparison. And even in such a wonderful place you can find a lot of shortcomings. The main thing is not to idealize it.

To live and work in Thailand, a foreigner must obtain a special permit. First of all, it costs a lot of money. Secondly, Thai employers are not always interested in giving it. If you work in Thailand illegally, you can easily go to jail. And do not think that the local authorities will make any concession. The laws in this country are very serious.

As for the coveted eternal summer in Thailand, there is a nuance here too. Although snow does not fall in this place, rainy seasons occur instead. The rainy winter lasts from May to October, and there is little pleasant here.

When you get caught in a tropical rainstorm, there is a high probability of getting sick. Air conditioners continue to operate in all public places. It's getting very cold. Plus, the humidity increases, which is why even at home it is difficult to live. For example, it is almost impossible to dry clothes and other things.

My friend has been living in Thailand for a long time. Moreover, she managed to give birth to a child there. When she was pregnant, she was registered with a private international hospital. There is a translator, so she solved the main communication problem right away.

Thai doctors do not worry about anything, no horror stories of future mothers do not scare. Even dozens of tests pregnant do not need to take. But every month a mandatory ultrasound. It is not possible to have a child for free in Thailand. You can buy a special delivery package, which includes all the necessary things for the new mother.

Thais are very sensitive to children and believe that strangers do not exist. But it's not just words. Wherever you go with a child, he will always be treated with something and will certainly begin to snuggle. Neighbors who have children will certainly begin to be friends and at some point will become a real family, where children will consider each other as their brothers and sisters.

There is no maternity leave or pension in Thailand. The state pays money only to civil servants. The elderly are forced to live with the support of their relatives. Before or after the birth of a child, a woman has the right to take two months' leave if she is officially employed at work. Here it is customary to give children to the upbringing of grandparents. At the same time, the parents of the baby are actively working to maintain both the first and the second.

There are few single people in Thailand. Those who do not have their own children have relatives who give them to raise their children. So it turns out that everything is always in business. However, because of this system, infants most often have to grow on mixtures, and not on breast milk.

But Thai mothers don't care much. For them, it is much more important that the child grows up in love and harmony with the world around him. And his loving relatives will try to do everything to make it so.

You can send a child to a Thai school as early as 3 years old. The next two will be preparing for more serious training. Children are adapted to society, taught to discipline. From an early age, Thais know the basic rules of behavior and know how to love not only their relatives, but also their homeland.

Children in Thailand can learn in both their native and Thai languages. But foreign will cost twice as much. It is also worth noting that the workload in private schools is much less than in public schools.

The standard academic year consists of 2 semesters, for which you can pay separately. In schools there is an extension and various interest groups. You can even go to the pool! There are no ratings here, the system with points works. Students’ performance is discussed exclusively with their parents. Children do not play in competition: they are all equal before the teacher.

Living in Thailand is also very interesting. For example, Thais in marriage may not cook their spouse’s food. Moreover, many of them simply do not know how to do it. The fact is that the street kitchen here works constantly, and prices allow you to eat outside the house. Spending extra resources to cook for a family on your own is just silly. Thai homes often do not have kitchens.

As you can see, life in Thailand is quite different from ours. It has both pros and cons. But one thing is clear: judging by the experience of foreigners who have lived there for many years, it is very unlikely to become your own in the circle of Thais. And even having a child and living in a marriage with a Thai is sometimes not enough.

Would you like to live in Thailand for a while? You ever been there?
