How to quickly adjust the dress to the size

Now you can buy things not only in a regular store, where you can try everything on well, but also online. This type of clothing may not fit your size.

There are many reasons why a dress may not fit. Maybe your figure has changed a little over time, or maybe you got the dress as a gift from someone who didn’t know your parameters.

Increase the dress with your own hands It's not that hard. Olga Papsueva knows exactly how to do it in just 5 minutes.

In her video, Olga details, How to Increase Dress SizeIt's made of a staple.

How to increase a simple cut dress
  1. Olga decided to increase the dress, making it a little shorter. Be prepared to cut off a small piece of material from the outfit. In this case, it will be the top.

  2. In order to cut the correct opening and neck on the remaining piece of tissue, you need to carefully measure the circumference of the chest. We only need a quarter of it.

  3. Now that you know this parameter, you can draw a new pattern directly on the dress.

  4. Before cutting off the top, it is necessary to clearly determine the size of the lifa, so as not to accidentally cut more than necessary.

  5. After measuring the required length, do not forget to measure the gap. The same amount should be set aside from the intended chest line.

  6. Draw the shoulder line down. Applying all the marks on the fabric, do not forget to step back a few centimeters at the seams.

  7. And that's how we moved all the important lines down a few centimeters, reducing the shoulder line and the gap.

  8. Now it's up to you. You need to cut the excess fabric along the planned lines, and then sew all the seams. Unnecessary pieces of fabric can be used for decor or make small wipes out of them.
  9. At this stage, it is necessary to sweep the product and try it on.

  10. The easiest way to treat the edges with an overlock, but this can be done manually.

Don’t throw something away just because it doesn’t fit well on you. The most important thing is to approach everything with imagination! Take the example of Olga Papsueva, who can make a real sweet out of any unusable thing.
