What to do if a piece in the throat does not climb, and why it is so important to force yourself to eat at least a little

If some people can’t stop eating, others have a different problem. The absence of hunger and the inability to shove even a piece of food into yourself is actually much worse than overeating. Why? It's easy. Overeating in a short period of time can lead to changes in the quality of the body and skin. It's easy to fix. Depending on the situation, you can get in shape in less than a year.

But a long period without food can lead to much worse changes. Exhaustion leads to a terrible state not only our physical health, but also mental health. The body does not receive the necessary substances, and it does not have the strength to resist stress, panic and anxiety.

In wartime, it is very important to change your perception of yourself a little. Now, you're not just a panicking poor man. You are also a valuable resource that is needed and important. It is important to be prepared for any possible scenario. You have to be in shape for that. A weakened body can only lie in bed, and now is not the time for this. You need your loved ones and your country, so you need to take care of yourself.

How to Start Eating When You Don’t Want to
  1. Forget utility and nutrients. In times of crisis, don’t worry too much about how healthy your food is. Eat what you enjoy most, even if it is only bread and butter and other so-called harmful things. Your first priority is to keep your body functional. This can be achieved with the help of a sufficient number of calories that are in almost any food, especially harmful.

  2. If you find it difficult to eat normal portions, try to bite. Usually this practice is not very recommended by specialists, but now the situation is special. Eat 6-7 times a day, even if it’s just a few bites. Even that option will do now.

  3. Chew as slowly as possible. So your digestion will function normally. While chewing, try to concentrate on your breathing. This is very helpful for women during pregnancy.

  4. Try to drink more water. In moments of severe stress, we forget about the basic needs of our body, and therefore may not consume enough fluids. If necessary, put a reminder on your phone or download an application that will remind you.
  5. Coffee should be postponed until better times. You can go to the decaf if you have the opportunity. Caffeine works well on us when we wake up, but it can also increase cortisol levels, which are already high in most people.

Life wisdom and editorial advice Self-care is the most important thing right now. Many feel a keen sense of guilt for being in comfort, while others suffer and protect us all. Don't give in to that guilt. Some people think that they should not eat, enjoy life and do the usual things while the war is going on. That's a misconception. We need to do all this right now.

Your hungry and weakened body won't help our defenders. Your bad mood and sadness won’t help either. Do everything that depends on you, in terms of help, and in everything else try to maintain the usual way of life. The crisis will end and there will be peace. There will come a time when we need to continue living.
