She went to her niece to borrow 1,000 euros and was outraged that she was not sharing her Italian coffee.

“Inna and I are two sisters, and our fates are very different,” says Anya. The woman hardly communicates with her sister, who left to work 7 years ago. Recently, Ana needed money, and she decided to borrow it from her niece, because she knew that Inna was sending money from Italy to her daughter.

When I got married, I gave up part of the house in favor of my younger sister. Then this decision seemed fair, because Inna after the divorce with her husband was left to look after her mother. Since I live nearby, I always go to visit my mother, but my sister took care of it. And when her daughter entered the university for a paid department, Inna decided to go to work in Italy. Inna knew that she could not help her daughter while she herself worked in the kindergarten.

For 7 years, she has been sending gifts and money to her daughter. I paid for my niece's first year of school while Inna was settling abroad. She paid her first salary, and we didn't talk after that. And my niece, Masha, refused to live in the hostel, and Inna had to send her money so that her daughter could rent a room.

Since then, the care of my mother fell on my shoulders, because Masha stopped coming to the village, and kept repeating that she had no time for studying. So I was looking after my mom the whole time. Inna called occasionally to see how Mom was doing. I talked to my sister about renovating my mom's house. It is already old and cold, so Inna promised to save up the money and come with it to do repairs.”

Two years ago, after graduating from university, a niece got married. Then I was glad that my mother finally began to help with the housework. But how surprised I was when my sister gave the kids the keys to a new apartment in the city! Then Inna informed me that her plans had changed and that she would be working on repairs later.

Now Masha is on maternity leave with a baby. And my sister can't be happy with her grandson. She sends huge parcels with children's clothes, toys, coffee, sometimes even three parcels. The strangest thing is that my sister never gave me anything as a guest. Like we're strangers.

And what upset me most was the egregious incident last week. I had to borrow 1,000 euros urgently, and I knew my niece was due to receive a package from her sister that day. I went to borrow money from her. Masha opened the parcel in front of me, counted the packages of coffee and other guests, and did not even think to give at least one package of Italian coffee to me. It was as if she had not heard my request. After that, I do not want to communicate and help neither my niece nor my sister.”

Apparently, the relationship between the sisters is strained. It is not known whether Inna was offended by her sister for leaving her mother to look after her, or simply decided to release herself from this responsibility and go to Italy. If her sister hasn’t redistributed anything to Ana during her stay abroad, she obviously thinks her sister doesn’t need anything or Inna thinks she doesn’t have to send anything to her older sister. Plans are not always feasible, sometimes priorities change in favor of children, as happened with the purchase of an apartment for a daughter. But it seems that Inna completely forgot about her mother, who, apparently, also did not send anything from abroad.
