The skill of making a roll that has more poppy than dough

Poppy roll Ingredients
  • 500g finished puff dough
  • 2 tbsp poppy
  • 0.5 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 7-8 tbsp sugar sand
  • 100g butter
  • 1 egg


Preparation
  1. Frost the finished dough and roll into an oval formation with a little flour added. Optimal thickness of 1 cm.


  2. Dry poppy wash, pour boiling water, send to the fire and boil for a few minutes.


  3. After that, strain through a sieve and combine with sugar. Pass the finished mixture through the meat grinder.


  4. Then transfer the poppy mass into a deep pan, add honey and oil to it, stir.
  5. Put the pan on a weak fire, pour hot milk into it in small portions and boil the poppy filling until crumbly. Poppy Roulette filling ready.
  6. Spread the filling evenly over the entire surface of the test and roll the long side of the rolls.


  7. Put it on a buttered pan and leave it for about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Lubricate the surface of the roll with egg yolk and place it in a preheated to 180-190 degrees oven.


  9. Bake, depending on the oven, 25-30 minutes.




You can sprinkle the roll on top with powdered sugar or cinnamon - as your soul wishes. Filling from poppy perfectly complement raisins, nuts or dried apricots.
