Indian Milk Dessert Recipe

Preparation

  3. The resulting cheese is filtered through gauze or a special fabric. Wash the same mass under running water, and then squeeze well.



  4. Now rub the resulting pane with your hands to a soft and homogeneous mass.



  5. Form a kind of sausage from cheese, divide it into smooth bars, from which form balls. Make sure that each ball is very dense, without voids. Otherwise, it will fall apart during further cooking.



  6. Put a pot of water on the fire, add sugar. You can add vanilla to the fragrance. The Indians themselves add rose water and cardamom.
  7. In the boiling syrup, drop the curd balls, without reducing the fire. Cook under the lid for 5 minutes.



  8. Now turn down the fire so that the water barely boils, cover the lid again and hold the stove for another 5 minutes. Keep in mind that the balls when cooking will swell, and therefore a small pot for cooking is not suitable.
  9. Remove the lid and let the balls cook for another 7 minutes. Then turn off the fire and let the balls cool without taking them out of the syrup.



  10. When the pan cools, place it with syrup and balls in the refrigerator for an hour, or better for the whole night.
