Oprometheus jumped to the market for strawberries, learning the recipe for compote "Strawberry mojito"

Despite the rainy and cool spring, this year’s strawberry harvest was famous. When all the households have eaten plenty of fresh berries, some of them are successfully frozen, and the other went for jam and desserts, the question arises in full growth: what else to cook from the remaining strawberries? Our answer is strawberry mojito for winter.

Strawberry mojito for winter Ingredients
  • 500g strawberries
  • 300g sugar
  • lemon
  • peppermint
  • 2.5 liters of water

Preparation
  1. The ingredients given in the recipe are designed for a three-liter jar of strawberry mojito.
  2. To avoid unpleasant surprises, strawberries should be thoroughly washed. And then send for 5-15 minutes in cold water.

  3. Put sugar in the boiling water. Stir, bring it to a boil and let it dissolve.
  4. Banks should be sterilized in any convenient way. How to do this in the microwave, we wrote earlier.
  5. Put the washed and peeled strawberries in a sterile jar.

  6. Add a few slices of lemon and a sprig of mint.

  7. Pour boiled syrup to the berries, filling the jar to the very top.

  8. Cover the jar with a sterile lid (do not close!) and let stand in this form for 30-40 minutes.
  9. After the specified time, drain the syrup from the jar into the pan and again bring to a boil, and then cook for 1 minute.

  10. Pour the berries with hot syrup and cover.

  11. Check if the lid leaks. If it leaks, change it. Otherwise, cover the can with a blanket and leave until completely cooled.
  12. That's it, strawberry mojito is ready for winter. Bon appetit and successful culinary experiments!

Strawberry mojito is very refreshing. It has a subtle mint aroma, a wonderful strawberry taste and cold winter will give you a real summer mood.
