It just so happens that I often compare
How much does it cost? In different shops and in the market. Yes, I am looking for cheaper, but I try not to forget about quality. In addition, recently I like to compare the prices of food in different countries.
Sometimes you wonder how different the cost in seemingly neighboring countries. Today, the usual Ukrainian market was in my sights. I wonder if the price policy of Ukraine will surprise you.
Imagine that right now we are going on an unusual excursion. I will tell you what and at what price you can buy on the market in Ukraine. I must say that
bazaarIt's usually just huge. There you can find not only food, but also many other things. This is a colorful place where you can find the same “your” seller and bargain on occasion.
Classic Ukrainian borscht is not complete without the addition of beans. There are many places in the market where you can sell.
legumes. The price varies, but on average a kilogram of beans costs about 100 UAH, or 268 rubles. Here this product is sold in glasses.
A dozen large domestic eggs You can buy for 30-40 UAH (80-110 rubles): it all depends on the size. Eggs fly like hot cakes, so the product does not have time to lie down. These eggs make a beautiful homemade mayonnaise. Have you ever tried making this sauce yourself?
Next on the list is one of the main Ukrainian products. Guess which one?
Of course it's lard! It is worth saying that delicacy is not cheap. At the bazaar for 1 kg will have to give about 100-120 UAH, or 268-322 rubles.
Of course, if you wander around the bazaar longer, you can find a cheaper option. For example, for 85 UAH, or 228 rubles. I wonder how much is lard in your region? Remember that in choosing lard, it is very important to make sure that the product is fresh. Unscrupulous sellers will do everything possible to deceive the buyer. You have to be prepared for that.
The cost of meat in Ukraine varies and depends on many factors. If a holiday is on the nose (for example, the approaching Easter), the price will certainly increase. Now 1 kilogram of pork can be bought for about 90-115 UAH, or 240-308 rubles. Selective cutting costs at least 155 UAH, or 415 rubles. And 1 kg of chicken will cost almost 80 UAH, or 214 rubles.
Other Foods Come to the Market and Don’t Buy
juicy cottage cheese - a real crime. The store product is not suitable for what is sold in the bazaar. A kilogram of low-fat cottage cheese on average costs 60 UAH, or 160 rubles. If you want a more fat curd, you will have to give about 80-90 UAH, or 214-240 rubles.
Homemade Ukrainian cottage cheese is really delicious. This is a great ingredient for the original curd cake. By the way, just recently we shared with you a recipe for holiday baking. Fingers are good!
Starting price
honey is 75 UAH, or 200 rubles for 500 ml. And the highest price reaches 180 UAH, 482 rubles. The cost, as a rule, depends on the variety of honey and the manufacturer. Also on the market you can buy nuts and dried fruits, the price tag for which varies. For example, 1 kg of prunes will cost you 90 UAH, or 240 rubles.
Ukrainian buyers often complain about
higher-value. And random: literally the next day the price of sugar, meat or milk may become more. You have to put up with the sad reality and, if possible, buy food for the future. For example, it is convenient to do with cereals, pasta, vegetable oil and other products.
It is also worth noting that the Ukrainian bazaar is not a place for faint-hearted sissies. Unfortunately, sometimes unscrupulous sellers do not follow the banal rules of sanitation. First of all, this applies to products that must be stored in the refrigerator at a certain temperature.
All the horrors of modern shops and markets at one time showed in the popular
Ukrainian transfer “Auditor”. I used to love watching it and learned a lot about food storage.
