There are a lot of disadvantages. And people who see the work of a truck driver in pink colors should know at least a little about these shortcomings.

The fact is that under the influence of extremely low temperatures, when the thermometer shows below 40 (yes, truckers also have to work in such conditions), many nodes do not work as usual.

But the heavy truck behind can be two and three pairs of wheels. And it happens that in the cold the brake pads of one of the wheels fasten. And sometimes, the bearing itself freezes. In this case, the wheel just does not turn, jams.



However, such trucks are powerful enough to drive even with one jammed wheel. What happens next? The wheel will rub against the asphalt for a while, and then just burst. As a result, it can cause a terrible accident. The wheel itself usually costs a lot of money.

So drivers have come up with an easy way to control that all their wheels are spinning. Put empty plastic bottles on the nuts of the rear wheels and drive themselves calmly. They look in the mirror to see if all the wheels are turning. If they see that one of the bottles “hangs”, they stop and wizard over the wheel to unlock it.
