The heroine of today’s story Galina faced complete indifference and disrespect from her brother and his wife. Every day they use their elderly mother and push her around. When I was little, my father left our family for another woman. It really hurt my mom, even though she tried to pretend everything was okay. The fact is that she is a very soft and non-conflict person. She just accepted the fact of divorce and decided it was necessary.

My older brother took on the role of master in the house, and he liked it. We fought often because he never wanted to solve problems peacefully. When he returned from the army, life became unbearable. Oleg became even more serious and tough.



I couldn't live under the same roof with him, so I left my parents' home as soon as I could. Studying in the capital university has become a real salvation for me. There I met my future husband. Soon after graduation, she married and continued to live away from home.

I didn’t know then that a nightmare would begin when my brother got married. He's married, I'm not afraid of that word, a real bitch! This was evident in the behavior of Nastya at the wedding. She behaved defiantly, constantly capricious. And the most interesting thing is that my brother never contradicted her and fulfilled her every demand.



It only took me a couple of days to stay at their house to figure it out. Nastya treated my mother like a housekeeper. She told her what to do and how to run the house. Although she herself is white-handed: dirty dishes and stove never fits. I feel very sorry for my mother, because she just puts up with it and will not contradict her daughter-in-law. But I know how hard it is for her, because she has long been retired.

When his brother had a child, his mother became his nanny. And Nastya does not care whether she wants it or not. My mom told me about a situation that happened recently.

Mommy was sick, lying down watching her favorite TV show. Nastya came into the room, defiantly turned off the TV and said that it was time to walk with the child. She didn’t even ask how her mother was feeling. Just put her in front of the fact and sent her out on the street.



My mother didn’t want to argue with her. She fulfills her every whim, even when it is physically difficult for her to do so. My brother just doesn’t care: he runs in front of his wife on tiptoes. I made sure of that when I called him right after my mom's story. In response, he only blurted out that his mother takes everything to heart.

I would have taken my mother with me a long time ago, but I can’t! My husband and I live in a small one-room apartment and are waiting for replenishment in the family. There is simply no room for another person.



I don’t know what to do because my brother doesn’t want to make contact and just ignores all my requests. And mom. She backs off and says it's okay. She doesn't want me to worry about her and be nervous, as she says, about trifles. But I can see how bad she is. And it gets worse and worse every day.

How do I get my brother's wife to reason and save my mother from her daughter-in-law's attacks? Will she have to continue to suffer such neglect? I am desperate and I don’t know what to do.
