Arabic pancakes "Kataef", after which the husband is tender, as if on a honeymoon

Just think, like yesterday everyone was bustling on the eve of the New Year holidays, but in fact in a month the ladies will celebrate International Women's Day! Did you know that this year, on March 8, the beginning of Maslenitsa falls? To be honest, this news stunned me. But I was stunned pleasantly, and so much so that I even began to learn how to cook unusual lush pancakes with filling called "Kataef".



This is a pretty budget option for a holiday snack. But it tastes just delicious, and besides, when served correctly, it has a rather original look. Today I am sharing the recipe with everyone.

Lush pancakes Ingredients
  • 125 ml of water
  • 250 ml of milk
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 200g flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • vegetable-oil


Preparation
  1. First of all, warm the water slightly and dilute the yeast with sugar in it. Leave the mixture to stand for 5-10 minutes. Then add slightly heated milk to the bowl and beat everything with a corolla. If suddenly the corolla is not at hand, you can easily replace it with a regular fork.



  2. Next, sift through the flour with baking powder into a bowl of milk and mix the liquid dough (as on baking bread). Then cover the dough with a kitchen towel or food film and leave it warm for half an hour. In order not to waste this time in vain, for these 30 minutes you can make your favorite filling for pancakes. Not just one, but several at once!   3. After the dough rose and covered with bubbles, lubricate the heated pan with vegetable oil and begin to fry pancakes on a slow heat.



  4. When the upper side of the pancake changes the white to yellowish, you can check the readiness of the lower side. And if the lower part of the pancake is sufficiently browned, you can remove the pancake from the pan. Immediately after removing the pancake and sending the next one to fry, we pinch the inner edges of the finished one so that it acquires the shape of a cone.





  5. And having removed from the pan and pinching all pancakes, you can move on to the most pleasant moment of cooking - filling the horns. Well, after that, you can finally start the long-awaited snack tasting.
