Australian trams wire is not needed
City officials announced that they do not want the contact wire of a tram, which hangs over the ways, spoil the appearance of the city. According to the decision, on the line will run trams with on-Board energy sources.

Sydney tram line is technically different from the line that will be built in Newcastle. In Sydney between the two neutral rails is laid the third rail. This rail is divided into ten sections, plugged in and separated from other neutral areas.
The tram is traveling along the line, has a radio transmitter associated with the substation which supplies voltage to the contact sections of the third rail only when it is part of. For this reason, the location of the ground conductor rail is completely safe for humans and animals. When the tram is on the line, under it there are always two sections of third rail that is energized.
In mid-March this year, Chinese company Qingdao Sifang was awarded the order of the authorities of the city of Foshan in Guangdong province on the Assembly and delivery of eight hydrogen-powered trams, which will go on building lines in the urban area gaoming district. Authorities in the Chinese city have bought new trams in the programme on transition to sustainable modes of transport.
Under the agreement, Qingdao Sifang will have to build eight tram cars the electric motors which operate from hydrogen fuel cells. These elements during the movement of the charged batteries under the floor and fed the motors. The fuel elements of the tram is just three minutes. published
