A very strange murder of the early twentieth century

This picture was taken in a police station in Detroit in February, 1924. It shows a doll Frank Byron, Jr., owned the most famous ventriloquist 1920–ies – the Great Lester.


That is Lester's consider the first man, who was drinking water when his dummy was talking, and silently walked around the rows among the audience, while wooden Frank whistled a popular tune. The story of the picture is this – in one of his speeches Leicester (via doll) gave a particularly funny joke, but such that from the fit of laughter right at the concert died three ladies. Upon the death of the spectators was a criminal case.


And as the accused, investigators were forced to call a doll Frank Byron Jr., as during the performance itself Leicester silent. What was the lot of the witness
