E-bikes will deliver the products to the consumer

The company Foodlogica from Amsterdam recently launched a new local transport system for delivering food products to cafes, restaurants and catering companies.



The main feature of innovation is that the delivery by electric cargo tricycle powered by solar energy.

So the owners decided to reduce the carbon footprint that remains on diesel fuel and make logistics more environmentally friendly. Bike delivery started in the framework of the project Farming the City from CITIES.

According to the company, cargo tricycle, electric bicycles, powered by solar panels on the roof will provide food not only to city catering, but also with farms that are located within 100 kilometers from the city.





These fully self-contained, environmentally friendly vehicles, which are produced by Radkutsche, equipped with cargo container with capacity up to 300 kg and a volume of 120 cm x 80 cm x 140 cm in Addition to muscular strength and extra available energy coming from the solar panels on the roof, writes portal "Environmental news".

The base price for delivery at a distance up to 5 km with one stop bike Foodlogica is 15 euros. Travel over longer distances with multiple stops entail additional costs for customers.
