5 ideas with melon
Melon is good in itself, but it may surprise you when you realize that the melon finds its place in a variety of dishes!
1. Salad with chorizo
Cut the melon slices. Mix in a saucepan 1 tbsp. l. honey, 75 ml of balsamic vinegar, put on fire and boil for 5-7 minutes, until syrup consistency. Cool.
Fry in a pan diced smoked sausage chorizo. Pour prepared sauce melon slices, sprinkle with fried sausages and serve with green salad.
2. SALSA
Cut the flesh into cubes 1/4 melon, add 1/2 finely chopped jalapeno pepper (or green chili without the seeds), 1/2 cup of green coriander and season with the juice of 1 lime. Serve the fish.
3. SORBET
Chop the pulp in a blender 1/3 medium-sized melon, adding 1 tbsp. l. grated zest and juice of 1/2 lemon, 1 tbsp. l. honey. Pour the mixture into a flat container and place in the freezer for 3 hours (2-3 times Stir the mixture).
4. Sangria
Cut the flesh into cubes 1 melon, put in a jar. Pour the wine, add 2 sprigs of chopped mint. Serve with ice.
5. Cold soup
Grind in a blender 1/2 melon with 1 tbsp. orange juice. Cool, serve with a scoop of ice cream.
Tip:
Cubes or balls of melon pulp can be frozen and added to summer smoothies.
