Plan crime originated in the mind of Spagiari after he accidentally learned that the city sewage passes next to the wall storage Societe Generale bank in Nice. Within two months, Albert and two friends were digging a tunnel, and 16 July 1976, a long weekend in honor of Bastille Day, they have reached the goal!
The robbers opened 400 safe deposit boxes and seized assets to the sum of 60 million francs. Right in the storage room they had a picnic with wine and pate (after all, the yard was a holiday), and wrote on the wall: "Without weapons, without hatred, without violence!»
Police took three months to calculate the criminals. Albert was arrested, but he managed to escape at least artistic. Motokaskadera persuaded his friend, he jumped out of the courthouse directly during the meeting, sat on the bike and sped away in an unknown direction. Spagiari died in 1989, spent rest of his life in Argentina, where he was hiding from the police, changing appearance.
