BBDO West has developed a promotional video for the 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Agency BBDO West developed a new advertising campaign for Mitsubishi Eclipse, according to the magazine Adweek.
According to Matt Mendez, director of the National Retail Marketing Mitsubishi Motors North America, a fresh approach in the promotion of Eclipse was necessary for the successful return of the new model, and because of the big difference in sales widely advertised cars and trucks, advertising support which was minimal.
In the clip «Switch» new campaign portrayed a couple riding in Eclipse on the highway. The girl sitting in the passenger seat, begins invitingly look at a guy and his winking, until the driver stopped at the side of her and leans in for a kiss. She enjoys the moment and cunningly slipping over him in the driver's seat.
According to Mendez, the new movie Eclipse is similar to the previous video in their campaigns focus more on emotional than rational motives of the consumer. The Director also noted that the overall goal of the campaign - to get people to say again and again, and thus build a consumer brand communications.
In addition, Matt Mendez noted that the advertising concept is reminiscent of the old rollers Eclipse Mitsubishi Lancer. However, later replaced Lancer exterior and interior components in the direction of greater ambition by releasing niche youth fastest car for Eclipse.
