To successfully pass an interview, men should hide their emotions
If you want to get a job, then the interview, you should keep emotions under control, especially for men. Researchers from the University of Gelfskogo (Canada) found that employers are less trouble to demonstrate during the interview to men than to women.
Restless behavior can be expressed by a nervous tic, difficulty with speech or difficulty with answers to questions. All of these factors are known to influence the opinion of the employer on the job and, as a consequence, the outcome of the interview.
Scientists attribute this to the fact that in society there are stereotypes in relation to standards of behavior: women are often forgiven some nervousness, and men, in contrast, is required to demonstrate strength of character and self-confidence that employers expect a male competitor is less emotional but more resolute and active, than a woman.
One of the authors of the study, Amanda Feiler, said that women are given easier display of emotion because of the frequent practice of talking about their feelings, such as girlfriends. Often women do not hesitate to ask for emotional support from loved ones and talk to them about their fears. Men avoid such conversations, and, therefore, may be unprepared for the conversation in a state of nervousness.
Researchers believe that the Applicants still must behave calmly during the interview, regardless of gender, without showing nervousness, even in heavy seas. The best thing in this situation not to concentrate on his condition and asked the employer to focus on the issues.
