Moussaka is one of the traditional Greek cuisine and a layered casserole of vegetables and meat. This dish, thanks bechamel sauce, it turns delicate and airy, but at the same time very rich and hearty. Moussaka necessarily prepared with eggplant, onions and tomatoes, but the rest of the ingredients can vary. Ingredients:
1 kg of potatoes; 2 kg eggplant; 1, 5 kg of ground beef; 4 garlic cloves; 2 white onions; 5 tomatoes; 2 tbsp. l. tomato paste; 250 g of cheese; 1 tbsp. l. oregano; 1 h. liter. cinnamon; salt and pepper - to taste; 250 ml of red wine. For the bechamel sauce:
125 g butter; 7 Art. l. wheat flour; 700 ml milk; 3 eggs; 10 g ground nutmeg; 1 tbsp. l. white pepper. Preparation:
1. we will cut the potatoes and eggplant slices and bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes at 160 degrees.
2. While vegetables are baked, prepare meat sauce Bolognese. To do this, fry in olive oil with chopped onion and garlic, add it to the stuffing. Salt and pepper, add the oregano and cinnamon.
3. Sodium tomatoes on a grater, add to the minced meat with tomato paste and wine.
4. For the bechamel sauce over low heat melt butter, add flour and stir. Slowly enter the warm milk, stirring constantly and turn off the stove, until the sauce thickens. Add eggs, pepper and nutmeg. Vzbey.
5. Prepare a baking dish, greased and the bottom edge of the oil and sprinkle with bread crumbs if desired. Laid out layers of potatoes, bolognese sauce and eggplant. Fields bechamel sauce on top and put in a preheated 180 degree oven for 20 minutes. Pull, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake another 10 minutes.
