Climbing El Capitan

Kevin and Tommy Caldwell Yorgeson decided to conquer the 914-meter granite monolith El Capitan, located in Yosemite National Park in California. At the same time they do not use screws or other climbing equipment. Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Yorgesona this is the third attempt to climb the vertical slope. They began their climb December 27, 2014 and the New Year is celebrated in hanging tents. Thrill use only their hands and feet. However, the safety rope too, since some difficult parts have to go through three, four or even five times. Sharp as a razor blade, the protrusions on the rock cut their fingers, so they have to put their tents nailed directly to the mountain a few hundred meters from the ground. And how did you spend the holidays?
