TinyScreen + TinyDuino - an easy way to create a smart watch or smart glasses with their hands

In 2012 there was a project on Kickstarter called TinyDuino. This mini-card compatible Arduino, from which you can create all sorts of miniature devices. At the start of mass production TinyDuino took only 10 thousand dollars, but the campaign eventually collected 109,000 dollars.

Now the project TinyDuino develops, additional modules, including various kinds of wireless chips, sensors, etc. In addition, this same manufacturer recently launched another campaign to raise funds for a tiny small screen for its miniature card. And the project already scored twice planned: 33 thousand dollars instead of 15,000. Until the end of the collection of the remaining 25 days, so the campaign quite successfully.

But we will not deviate from the topic: the main thing here is not the price, and the possibility of a set TinyScreen + TinyDuino. According to the developer, the display for a few seconds is connected to the board, after which the user can create their own smart watches, sunglasses, and other portable devices at their discretion.

That's how you are connected to the display board

With display comes with several applications that work "out of the box": smart watches, toys and more. The display is equipped with several functional buttons that allows you to control applications without any problems. If you do not know how to program, it is not required, the device can be created on the basis of pre-installed applications. But if you want something more advanced, and there is such a possibility: you can write your own applications.

In this photo, for example, the display shows the load on the server:

To create your own applications using Codebender - web-based platform for Arduino, which simplifies the use TinyScreen.

When creating an application for the device is sufficient to use a specific service, then connect your device to the PC, and the program is loaded into the system, and then (assuming, of course, that the program is running) starts to work with the new equipment.

Additional Features h4>
Proeekt offers and additional modules, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, RAM modules, slot for microSD, Bluetooth and all the stuff that might be useful. So based on the system, you can create very complex and clever functionality of the device.

All hardware and software is Open Source, the development team actively support the idea of Open Source Hardware and Software.

All files TinyDuino platform can download from the developer , modification fee. Also available source software.

Price h4>
The display itself only costs $ 20, deliveries will begin in January 2015. Another 40 dollars pull baseplate TinyDuino. Thus, smart watch proprietary can be assembled in 70-150dollarov, depending on the functionality of the device (may have to buy additional modules).
