Robot assistant when walking

Honda Motor Company unveiled 2 exoskeleton whose purpose - to help people with walking and lifting loads. This event was held yesterday in New York. In the development of new support exoskeletons company used their knowledge of human movement, which were obtained by creating a humanoid robot ASIMO.

The first prototype is easy to put on the device, which will benefit the elderly and those who have problems with the muscles of the legs. In the photos put users Stride Management apparatus around the waist and hips.

Onboard computer adjusts the user walking and makes it more stable and effective. The device is called Bodyweight Support - is more extensive device. It covers the body from the waist and hips and feet up and even has a built-in seat. All these mechanisms are necessary due to the fact that Bodyweight helps not only walking, but also allows you to perform the task of lifting weights. Honda is planning to show these exoskeletons prototypes later this month at the World Congress of automotive technicians in Detroit from 20 to 23 April.
