Russia tested a new ballistic missile

The US missile defense system will not be able to keep the new Russian intercontinental ballistic missile from hitting the target.

Evening of June 6 the Russian Defense Ministry has conducted a successful test launch of the prototype of a new intercontinental ballistic missile at the site "Kapustin Yar" in the Astrakhan region.

"We are closely watching how events will be held the evening before (testing new ICBMs - approx. Ed.). They were successful, we tested an intercontinental ballistic missile, which I call "killer missile defense," - said June 7 Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.

"No current or prospective US missile defense will not be able to keep the missile on to get exactly the apple & quot ;, - he added.

Rogozin said that Russia will continue to build up power, "which will allow us to provide for themselves absolute freedom of action in cases where our country will be subjected to aggression».

Recall theme of the unfolding of the American missile defense system in Europe is one of the most intense in the relations between the US and Russia. In early 2013 it became known that Washington canceled the fourth stage of the program, scheduled for 2018, which provided for the deployment in Poland of upgraded missiles the SM-3 Block 2B.

Although many have regarded as a breakthrough in Russian-American relations, fundamental changes are not made a decision. Moscow insists on providing solid legal guarantees of non-direction against its deterrent force and continues preparing for military-technical response to European missile defense system to the years 2017-2018.
