In 1968, a single shot from a rifle, was killed Martin Luther King. The bullet passed through the right side of the neck and throat, and then, after passing through the spinal cord, stopped in his shoulder. King was rushed to hospital, where doctors opened his chest and held direct cardiac massage. An autopsy revealed that the 39-year-old King's heart was like a 60-year-old.
