This post contains photos with the Droste effect. The Droste effect is a Dutch term used to refer to a particular kind of recursive image. It was named in 1904 in honor of a package of cocoa of the same name brand.
A Droste-effect photo shows a smaller version of the same photo. Already on the newly reduced photo, an even smaller picture is placed, and so on. Theoretically, this process can go on indefinitely, but is practically limited by the resolution of the photo.
