House by Antonino Cardillo Moon

The idea of creating a "House of the Moon" (or, as in the original, Concrete Moon House) owned by Antonio Cardillo (Antonino Cardillo). Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it consists of two different parts.

The building was built by order of an individual, on a rectangular area (791 square meters), in the suburbs of Melbourne (Australia). It is divided into two distinct parts: one - to the public - like the inverted keel of a ship or a funny concrete moon, which follows directly from the front. Such a design - an unexpected deviation from the straight path. Second, private - semi-detached house is like a long and narrow pencil case, which stretches along the perimeter of a gallery with access to the garden.

"Each of the two so different parts contributes to the creation of communal harmony at home" - adds the architect. Details of one half of the building to another crop, although developed by different principles. Design elements are interrelated, and one finds an echo of the sound in the other. This is particularly evident in the main hall, where the visitors have doubts: where ends the similarities and the differences begin.
