Bright memory of 85-year-old composer-wizard Eduard Artemyev

In early December 2022, it became known that the composer was urgently hospitalized in a hospital with coronavirus. Doctors assessed his condition as moderate. However, the situation was complicated by chronic heart pathologies. Then the composer told the press that he felt normal.

Yesterday, the son of the artist was full of hopes and believed that his father would return home after the holidays. He said, "There was pneumonia." Now the treatment has already been prescribed, in terms of this we have already set our goals. The treatment is in progress. He will be in the therapy unit for ten days, then he will be sent elsewhere.”

However, later the son of the artist reported that his father became worse. He was transferred to the intensive care unit. He was reported to have complications while being treated for bacterial pneumonia. And today, Artemy reported that his father is no more.



Wikimedia Creative Path Eduard Artemyev was born on November 30, 1937. In 1960 he graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in composition class. In 1964-1985 he worked as a senior lecturer in the instrumentation class at the Institute of Culture.

He is called the legendary Russian composer. He wrote music for two Olympics in Russia. His songs are heard in more than 150 feature, documentary and animated films. In 1999, Artemyev received the title of People's Artist.
