Ennio Morricone Morricone grew up in a family of jazz trumpeter and housewife. The creative atmosphere did not pass young Ennio side. At the age of 12 he began his studies at the conservatory. At 16 he took the place of his father in the ensemble, and at 17 he became a theater artist.
At first he played in nightclubs and hotels in Rome. Later he began arranging compositions for radio and concerts. However, he really set foot on the path of glory only in 1961. It was then that he made his film debut. He began with spaghetti westerns, with which his name is now associated.

Without exaggeration, we can say that Ennio Morricone is one of the most famous composers of our time and certainly the most famous film composers in the world. His music can be heard in more than 400 films and TV series in Italy, Spain, USA and Russia.
As a film composer, he was nominated for an Oscar 6 times. He has received two coveted statuettes: for his outstanding contribution to cinema in 2007 and for the music for the film The Hateful Eight in 2016. He was also awarded a Grammy Award for his music for the 1988 film The Untouchables.
In addition to writing soundtracks, in the life of Morricone there was a place for chamber music. He toured Europe with her in 1985, conducting the orchestra himself.
