Basil sauce ingredients
- 4kg tomatoes
- basilica
- 3 bows
- 3-4 tbsp tomato paste
- 3-4 heads of garlic
- 4-5 chili peppers
- 1/3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp rock salt
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp spicy herbs
Preparation
- Wash the tomatoes, remove the peduncles. Cut the tomatoes into pieces and then run them through a meat grinder. There should be 4 liters of tomato puree. It is better to take homemade meaty tomatoes.
- Wash the basil and divide it into 4 parts. Put one part through the grinder. Also pass through the meat grinder hot pepper and half the garlic. Pour pepper and garlic in the tomato mashed.
- Put the tomato puree to boil for 30-40 minutes, so that the tomato boiled a little. Don't forget to salt it.
- Clean the onions, grind with a knife and pour into a frying pan with vegetable oil. Roast until soft, then put the onions into the sauce. Keep putting it out for another 10 minutes.
- Grind the second part of the basilica with a knife. Add to the sauce tomato paste, sugar, Provencal herbs, remaining garlic and basil. Stir it. Cook for another 10 minutes.
